Planning staff confirmed the permit was approved over‑the‑counter and DBI Inspector Joe Duffy asked the Board to confirm the building's existing legal number of stories; he noted if the attic/dormer conversion changes the legal count from three to four habitable levels, a sprinkler requirement could apply under code. Commissioners directed DBI to verify the number of legal stories and continued the matter to March 7 to allow DBI and the permit holder to provide clarification.
