Planning Commission reorders calendar, continues contested items and re-elects leaders

Commissioner Anthony (Antonini) moved to continue Case 2012.1291C and 2111.043E to the dates staff proposed and to continue items 16a–c to Jan. 31, 2013. The motion carried on a roll-call vote recorded as seven in favor, zero opposed. "So moved, commissioners. That motion passes unanimously 7 to 0," the secretary stated after the tally.
The commission then handled election of officers required by its rules. After nominations, the commission voted unanimously to elect Commissioner Fong as president and Commissioner Cindy Wu as vice president. Commission members offered brief congratulations following the vote.
Why it matters: those procedural votes set the schedule for contested development cases and preserve the commission's ability to coordinate future hearings.
