The San Francisco Planning Commission voted unanimously Oct. 6 to approve a condominium subdivision at 307 Page Street that will convert an existing mixed‑use building containing six residential units into individual condominiums.
Glenn Cabrera, department staff, said the project meets the subdivision code and planning priorities and recommended approval. Several public speakers expressed concerns that conversions could reduce rental availability and could affect seniors; one speaker, Tenzin Sharap, described being homeless and urged the commission to consider seniors' access to housing. Other speakers and the project sponsor said the six residential units are owner‑occupied and eligible under the TIC rules, and that no tenants would be displaced.
Commissioner Gwyneth Borden moved to approve the subdivision; the motion was seconded and passed on roll call with unanimous ayes. Staff noted the conversion conforms with the Subdivision Code and the California State Map Act requirements for condo conversions of this size.
