Board moves into closed session for personnel appraisal and votes not to disclose discussion

At the Oct. 15 meeting the San Francisco Board of Appeals voted to move into closed session to conduct a public employee appraisal and, upon reconvening in open session, voted not to disclose the contents of that closed session.
The board first voted 4-0 to enter closed session for a personnel matter/public employee appraisal. After the closed session the board considered whether to disclose the discussion. Commissioner Frank Fung moved "that we do not disclose what was discussed in closed session," and the board again voted 4-0 in favor of nondisclosure. Fung also said the board president would write a memorandum for the employee's personnel file.
No public details of the closed-session discussion were disclosed at the meeting.
