The Board of Appeals granted the appeals filed by Bill Paschalinski for 404 Jersey Street, overturning both the Department of Building Inspection’s permit denial and the zoning administrator’s variance denial after receiving revised plans dated May 15 that added a second parking space and clarified trash storage and clearance under an existing deck.
Planning Department staff reported they would have been inclined to approve a similar proposal had the revised plans been available earlier. The project sponsor’s architect said revisions resolved previous planner concerns by providing two parking spaces on the unusually wide lot and adequate clearance under the deck. Commissioners voted 5–0 to issue the permit and grant the variance based on the May 15 revised drawings with the finding that the provision of two parking spaces resolved the concerns that led to the earlier denials.
