The Board of Appeals on Jan. 9 denied an appeal of a Department of Public Works permit for a personal wireless service facility at 2330 Third Avenue and upheld the permit 4–0. Crown Castle’s counsel Natasha Ernst told the board the site had been in place since 2007, the current application complied with Article 25 and Department of Public Health input indicated emissions would be well below FCC standards. DPW staff said the department followed required procedures and that a public hearing had been held. The appellants were not present at the hearing. After discussion, the board moved to deny the appeal and uphold the DPW permit.
