Joshua Swiske explained the calculation and said the fund currently holds money contributed by 1 Rincon Hill and that the staff recommendation left a $100,000 minimum balance in the fund to support other short-term work such as the Guy Place Park acquisition and design. Project counsel Steve Vettel requested minor wording changes to make the reimbursement contingent on the fund balance and accounting confirmation; staff agreed to verify the exact banked balance and to update resolution language accordingly.
Commissioners discussed pre-approval and oversight of in-kind work and agreed the first implementation had been a learning process that should be refined for future projects. The commission voted unanimously to approve reimbursement now up to the amount that leaves $100,000 in the fund, with staff to confirm final accounting figures before payment.
The project sponsor’s counsel confirmed maintenance and warranty arrangements for the new landscaping and street trees.
The motion passed unanimously.
