Planning staff briefed the San Francisco Planning Commission on Oct. 30 on the environmental review schedule for the bicycle plan. A staff presenter said the transportation report is finalized and has been incorporated into the administrative draft of the EIR, which staff expected to submit for internal review by the beginning of the following week. "So we are on schedule to have an EIR publicly released on November 26, the day before Thanksgiving," the presenter said.
Staff said the hearing on the draft EIR would likely be scheduled for the commission—s first meeting in January to allow for required notice and a comment period; commissioners asked staff to provide periodic briefings on the related transportation EIR. There were no public commenters on Item 1 during the meeting; the commission moved on to Item 2 (the WSIP PEIR) after the staff update.
