Planning staff noted a letter of opposition from an adjacent neighbor regarding parking, noise, litter and loitering related to a proposed conversion of a vacant commercial space into a frozen-dessert cafe cart called Kaleidoscope (2886 Golden Gate Ave/746 Ogolo Blvd). Staff recommended retaining the item on the consent calendar because the issues can be mitigated through standard conditions of approval. The project sponsor (Lisa Lane) opted to hold comment until questions were asked; no public testimony appeared at the hearing.
Commissioner Amor moved approval; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. The commission recorded ayes across the present members. Staff confirmed that conditions will address the neighbor’s concerns and that copies of the opposition letter are available for review.
