At the start of the meeting the board handled several housekeeping motions.
Vice President Frank Fung moved to reschedule items 7A and 7B (appeals relating to 207 Marietta) to Nov. 12 after parties said they were preparing revised plans; the board approved the motion 5–0.
On a separate motion concerning appeal O8-135 (Fu v. DBI, 338–340 19th Avenue), President Michael Garcia reported that Chief Inspector Lawrence Kornfield had informed the board he consented to a reduction. The board approved a motion—moved from the dais—to reduce the penalty from nine times the regular fee to two times the regular fee, by a 5–0 vote.
Both items were described on the record as consented scheduling and penalty adjustments; the board noted the parties remain responsible for any additional procedure or notice required in those matters.
