The project sponsor and neighbors present expressed support for the revised scheme and said the facade and design better fit the neighborhood.
Commissioner discussion focused on interior room names and whether the plan could still create multiple master suites or illegal units; staff explained some rooms are labeled "study" because they do not meet building-code light and egress requirements to be classified as bedrooms. The commission moved to take discretionary review on item 9B (the revised plan) and approve with the modified plans, attaching a Notice of Special Restriction (NSR) to maintain single-family status where appropriate.
