Tony Fu stood during the public-comment period and identified himself as a "whistleblower," telling the San Francisco Board of Appeals that he intended "to blow the whistle on this criminal conspiracy corruption all the way." He alleged that documents and testimony presented to the board at previous hearings were fraudulent and named multiple local officials and staff in broad claims of misconduct.
"Leo McFadden and City Attorney ... presented fraudulent evidence to this board," Tony Fu said, urging the board and the public to "take immediate action." He offered an exhibit and asserted there were discrepancies in official reports and recorded documents that he said showed a pattern lasting several years.
Board members did not take formal action on the allegation at the meeting. President Frank Fung thanked the speaker and proceeded to the next order of business. The allegation was raised in public comment only; no supporting evidence was introduced during Board deliberations and no respondent spoke from the dais to rebut or address the claim during the meeting.
The board's public-comment process allows members of the public to raise concerns to the panel, but claims of misconduct that were not substantiated at the hearing remained unresolved by the board at the time it adjourned. The transcript shows the allegation was delivered without immediate documentary proof offered at the lectern, and there was no motion or vote to investigate recorded in the meeting minutes.
