The Budget & Finance Committee on Jan. 17 voted to forward to the full Board a request from the Juvenile Probation Department to retroactively accept approximately $360,000 from the California Department of Social Services for intensive foster care and family preservation services covering Oct. 1, 2021 through Sept. 30, 2026.
Presenter Seth Kilborn described the grant as funding services for youth with complex needs and said services will be delivered through a partnership with Alternative Family Services rather than on-site at county offices. Committee members had no additional questions; no public speakers addressed the item. The committee recorded a 3-0 roll-call vote to forward the resolution with a positive recommendation.
