Corella said around $157 million had been spent under the marketplace from January 2019 to August 2020, with about $16.4 million going to LBEs as prime or subcontractors to date.
BLA recommended modestly lower not‑to‑exceed amounts than those in the resolutions for the four contracts; the committee adopted the BLA recommended caps and forwarded the items to the full Board with positive recommendation as amended. Supervisors asked about opportunities for local hire; staff said all contracts are subject to the city’s First Source hiring program and that LBE goals apply to service‑type transactions.
