The Budget & Finance Committee on Jan. 22 recommended the Board approve modification No. 9 to the project management contract between San Francisco International Airport and T1 Cubed (a joint venture of WSP USA and AGS) for the Terminal 1 Boarding Area B redevelopment.
Kathy Widener (San Francisco International Airport) told the committee the modification increases the contract by $9,000,000 to a new not-to-exceed total of $38,500,000 and extends the term by one year. She said the expanded scope includes a new 550,000-square-foot boarding area B, 28 aircraft parking positions including seven international swing gates, expanded concourses, interior architecture and supporting systems, and a sterile corridor extension to support international flights.
Severn Campbell of the Budget Analyst’s Office summarized earlier modifications and exhibits and said the increase reflects expansion of Phase 1 and related costs; the BLA recommended approval and noted the term extension. No members of the public spoke on the item.
Chair Sandra Lee Feuer moved the item to the full Board with a positive recommendation; the motion passed without objection.
