The Board’s Budget Committee advanced the ordinance that fixes prevailing wage rates for various covered classifications under San Francisco contracts for 2020.
Pat Mulligan of the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement presented the annual submittal, explaining it includes standard service‑sector and trade classifications recognized by the California Department of Industrial Relations. Sevin Campbell of the Budget and Legislative Analyst’s office said the proposal reflects collective bargaining agreements and civil service commission review; the BLA noted some litigation pending related to classification 21C3 at the airport but said that pending matter should not affect the submittal because no change to 21C3 was proposed.
There was no public comment on the item. The committee forwarded the ordinance to the full Board as a committee report with a positive recommendation.
