Amanda Fried of the Treasurer & Tax Collector’s Office told the committee the item is standard trailing legislation that establishes administrative provisions for the traffic congestion mitigation tax approved by voters. The ordinance aligns penalties, audit authorities and taxpayer confidentiality rules with other city business taxes and establishes monthly collection procedures should the tax take effect Jan. 2020. Chair Sandra Lee Feuer opened for public comment; there was none. The committee moved the administrative code amendments to the Board of Supervisors with a positive recommendation.
