During deliberations the Budget & Finance Committee took several formal actions on legislation and budget items introduced during the hearing.
Chair Cohen moved to send items 5, 8, 9 and 10 (controller-led measures covering the neighborhood beautification/graffiti fund designation, participatory-budgeting reappropriations, an access-line tax CPI adjustment, and a Prop J contracting certification) to the full Board with a positive recommendation. Supervisor Sheehy seconded; Supervisor Yee also joined as a seconder, and the motion was taken without objection and will be scheduled for the July 17 Board meeting.
Later in the agenda the committee considered resolutions to designate official and outreach newspapers for the City and County of San Francisco. An amendment to include the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Francisco Examiner on the outreach/designation list was brought for a roll-call vote and failed. The roll call recorded Supervisor Feuer voting No, Supervisor Stephanie voting Aye, Supervisor Sheehy No, Supervisor Yi No, and Chair Cohen voting I (aye); the amendment did not pass.
The committee also voted to send other agenda items (including OCII's budget) to the full Board with positive recommendations as scheduled; several items were marked for public comment at subsequent meetings.
