Supervisor Tang offered amendments requiring the library to begin relocation by February 1, 2018 and complete it by December 31, 2018, and the committee agreed to forward the amended resolution and send it to the full Board as a committee report.
Speakers noted the complexity of evaluating hundreds of thousands of volumes and that the department will continue to refine cost estimates with the Budget Analyst and Mayor’s budget office. No public speakers commented on item 1 during the committee discussion.
