The committee recommended forwarding an easement agreement to acquire over/under easement rights at 1150 Ocean Avenue to allow SFMTA to maintain vehicle sensors installed on a private driveway.
Brian Dusseau of SFMTA said the improvements, including pedestrian signals, new sidewalk and pavement markings, were constructed in 2013 and the easement provides legal access to maintain the sensors. A supervisor raised concerns about pedestrian-safety visibility and whether pavement markings or tactical dome treatments would improve compliance; the SFMTA representative said staff would consult with traffic-management to explore additional measures and report back. The item was moved out of committee with a positive recommendation.
