Scott said the renewal would reallocate budget emphasis toward clean-and-safe operations (including ambassadors and some private security) and noted the district used reserves to fund overnight patrols and is planning recovery marketing to re-attract visitors once tourism resumes. He presented historical metrics for the district—s activity, including trash collection and graffiti mitigation totals, and explained marketing efforts that drive regional and international visitation.
Korgas provided preliminary budget figures and said the initial district assessment budget and total budget numbers were in the OEWD materials. With no callers on the line, the committee voted to forward the resolution to the full Board of Supervisors with a positive recommendation.
