Mark Fair, chair of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee, presided as members approved audit-driven amendments to a Department of Public Health contract transferred to HealthRight 360.
Michelle Ruggles of the Department of Public Health explained that Asian American Recovery Services merged with HealthRight 360 and that HealthRight 360 assumed the prior contract, necessitating changes to the contract term and figures. Ruggles said the vendor provides fiscal intermediary services used to reimburse emergency housing and wraparound supports through memoranda of understanding where standard provider contracts are not feasible. “This is like an example of how we use this vendor to reimburse for those sorts of things,” she said.
Mr. Rose, presenting the committee’s report, detailed multiple inconsistencies in the proposed resolution’s dollar amounts and term language and proposed line-by-line edits so the resolution matches fiscal records; he recommended approving the resolution as amended. After opening and closing public comment with no speakers, Supervisor Tang moved to adopt the audit amendments and forward the item to the full Board as amended; the committee approved the motion without objection.
The committee’s action was procedural: it recommended technical corrections and forwarded the amended resolution; no final Board adoption occurred at this hearing.
