The Government Audit and Oversight Committee convened into closed session on Jan. 7 to consider items 14 through 17: various ordinances and resolutions authorizing settlement of lawsuits and unlitigated claims against the City and County of San Francisco.
Deputy City Attorney John Givner reported out of closed session that the committee voted 2 to 0, with Supervisor Aaron Peskin excused, to amend item 17 and change the authorization amount previously stated in the materials to allow up to $80,000. The committee also voted 2 to 0 to forward items 14 through 17 to the full Board with a positive recommendation.
Chair Jane Kim moved and the committee took action not to disclose closed-session proceedings, doing so without objection. The items will be considered by the Board in accordance with the normal closed-session and settlement procedures.
