Kathy Weidner, representing the San Francisco Airport, and Bruce Robertson, the airport—s budget director, told the committee the airport is asking for a $2.6 million supplemental appropriation in FY15‑16 to fund an increased utility work order for PG&E ($1.4 million) and to raise the airport—s annual service payment to the city general fund ($1.2 million). Weidner attributed the revenue enabling the increased payment to growth in concession sales and new ground transportation fees paid by transportation network companies.
The budget analyst reviewed the request and recommended approval. Supervisor Katie Tang moved to approve item 5 and forward it to the full Board with a positive recommendation; the motion was seconded and taken without objection and will be considered by the Board at the July meeting.
