Committee forwards grants, leases and energy/parks items to full board; approvals taken without objection

- The City—s Department of Emergency Management presented acceptance and expansion of an approximately $122,000 Urban Area Security Initiative grant that will principally fund the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center cybersecurity analyst and administrative costs; supervisors asked clarifying questions about the fusion center—s location and regional distribution and the committee approved the item.
- The Department of the Environment requested acceptance of about $6.6 million from the CPUC (via PG&E) to continue an energy-efficiency program working with small businesses and multifamily buildings; staff described $3 million in financial incentives planned for the year and neighborhood-targeted work such as "Sustainable Chinatown." The committee recommended the item to the full board without objection.
All items were presented with staff summaries, the budget analyst recommended approval where applicable, and the committee took no recorded roll-call votes, forwarding each item to the full board for final action.
