President Paskin said the SUD had the unanimous recommendation of the Planning Commission and community support from Chinatown leaders. He proposed duplicating the file: the duplicate would be amended to clarify use‑size maximums and returned to planning, while the original file would be sent to the full Board as a committee report for a hearing the following day.
The committee approved an amendment to the duplicated file regarding use‑size clarifications, voted to continue the duplicated file to the call of the chair pending Planning Commission review, and sent the original unamended file to the Board with a committee recommendation. All motions carried with three ayes.
The duplicate file will return to the committee after Planning review; the Board will receive the original file as a committee report.
