Christian Murdoch of the Office of Small Business said the Small Business Commission unanimously supported the waiver; 24 merchant corridors across the city's supervisorial districts plan to participate.
Murdoch said the office is grateful to Supervisor Katie Tang for sponsoring related fee waivers for awning signage and pedestrian‑level installations, and that the city has coordinated similar waivers for years as part of Small Business Month. Supervisors approved and sent the item forward without objection.
