The Clerk described Item 2 as an ordinance to amend the administrative code to add First Source hiring requirements for developers applying for commercial or residential permits, including anticipated entry and apprentice-level positions, anticipated local hires and anticipated wages and retention goals for apprentice-level positions. Item 3 would amend the administrative code to apply the city’s local hiring policy and payment of prevailing wages to construction projects on property owned by the City and County of San Francisco.
Supervisor John Avalos asked that both items be continued to the March 26 morning meeting so they are not heard today; the chair took the motion after opening public comment and reported no members of the public wished to speak. The motion to continue was carried without objection.
No substantive debate, amendments, or votes on the ordinances occurred at this meeting; the items were rescheduled for the March 26 Budget & Finance meeting.
