McFadden said the original grant was for $200,000 (October 2012), with a December 2013 augmentation of $159,469 and an additional January 2014 augmentation of $71,060. The committee and Deputy City Attorney John Givener agreed an oral amendment could be made during the meeting but required the department to file a revised paper resolution with the clerk. Because the augmentation increases the expenditure amount relative to the version filed, the committee agreed to continue the item one week and hear it on March 5 as a single package including all augmentations.
SFPD representatives present included Sergeant Tony Flores (human‑trafficking enforcement) and departmental grant staff. The committee directed staff to prepare the amended fiscal documents and return with the consolidated item next week; the committee took the motion to amend and continue without objection.
