Branson described the project as a model for partnership-driven park improvements.
Local volunteer Kate Green described the community-led fundraising campaign and the design’s intent to honor the site’s natural and historical context. Steve Schweigert of the Parks Alliance thanked volunteers and the architect for large donated design contributions and urged further public support through the Friends of Mountain Lake Park Playground website.
Supervisor Mark Farrell moved the item to the full Board with recommendation; the committee took the motion without objection.
