San Francisco — During the Feb. 26 meeting the Government and Oversight Committee received and approved annual reports for the Noe Valley Community Benefit District and the Castro/Upper Market Community Benefit District.
Office of Economic and Workforce Development staff reviewed the districts’ finances and management benchmarks for multiple fiscal years, noting typical six‑month carryover practices and explaining variances in years when districts received grant funds or added staff. Noe Valley’s director described volunteer‑run events (Harvest Festival, 24 Holidays) and recent capital work; the Castro/Upper Market director described sidewalk‑widening projects, ambassador and retail‑strategy programs supported by city grants and private fundraising.
Both reports were accepted and the committee moved the resolutions forward with no objection.
