City asks for master‑plan support for Log Cabin Ranch; civil grand jury warns plan stalled

Nance reported he has opened conversations with San Mateo County probation about collaboration because Camp Glenwood is adjacent to Log Cabin Ranch and uses a similar program model. He asked for continued committee support for a master plan and for continued regional conversations.
Leslie Finlev, representing the civil grand jury, praised work to date but warned that leadership turnover and an incomplete needs assessment have left the master plan in doubt and urged the Board to fund and complete the assessment so the facility is not left in an unsatisfactory status quo. The committee adopted language stating the Board will not itself implement Recommendation 3 and 4.2 and will defer to the juvenile probation department to complete the community needs assessment and pursue regional collaboration.
