The budget analyst confirmed first‑year total costs of about $135,417 (including one‑time fees) and reported an annual cost reduction of roughly 62% versus the existing SunGard arrangement. Monique Smuda of the Controller’s Office emphasized that backing up financial systems to Rancho Cordova would allow the city to continue payroll and vendor payments during an emergency and could expand to host other departments’ systems.
With no public comment, the subcommittee moved the agreement forward without opposition.
