SAN FRANCISCO — The Rules Committee on Sept. 9 considered the treasurer's nomination of Jackie Chen to the Treasury Oversight Committee and moved the nomination forward to the full board with a minor amendment.
Chen, who serves as chief financial officer for the San Francisco Unified School District, described her finance and audit background, including prior work in governmental auditing and as a CFO for school districts and charter networks.
The committee amended the motion to delete the word "rejecting" throughout the legislation and to include a residency waiver; the amended recommendation passed without objection and the nomination will proceed to the full Board of Supervisors.
