Committee approves two appointments to Food Security Task Force

SAN FRANCISCO — The Rules Committee on Sept. 9 advanced two nominees to the city's Food Security Task Force.
Katherine (Katie) Jackson, chief nutrition officer at Project Open Hand, and Norika Lim Tepper, chief strategic partnerships and advocacy officer at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, each described experience working on food-access and nutrition programs and said they wanted to contribute expertise on medically tailored meals and student food insecurity, respectively.
There were no public speakers on the nominations. The committee moved to forward Jackson for seat 12 and Lim Tepper for seat 16; the motion passed without objection.
