Terry Anderson of the District Attorney’s office explained that the Claims Board changed its filing requirements and requested that three years be bundled into a single resolution; the correction will streamline administrative work and allow the DA’s office to seek reimbursement for costs associated with the joint powers agreement. Jackie Ortiz, Deputy Chief of Victim Services, accompanied Anderson and was available to answer questions.
The committee opened public comment; one attendee (Mr. Paulson) made remarks that the transcript records as informal singing and commentary but did not register a substantive objection to the resolution. The committee then moved, seconded and approved the correction without opposition.
