Preston noted a minor formatting error in the draft ordinance's effective‑date language and circulated an amendment to correct the expiration date; the City Attorney's Office had deemed the fix non‑substantive. Colleagues signed on as cosponsors. The committee approved the amendment and voted to forward the ordinance to the full Board as a committee report.
