Committee forwards Ocean Avenue Community Benefits District management agreement to full board

Lisa Pagan of the Office of Economic and Workforce Development presented a management-agreement template for the Ocean Avenue Community Benefits District, saying it follows the standard form used for other San Francisco CBDs but is tailored to the district's nonprofit managers. The agreement would allow the city to transfer assessments that have been collected on the district's behalf to the new management corporation to fund services in the Ocean Avenue area.
Local advocates told the committee they are prepared to manage the district. Dolly Sitalat, interim staff for the Ocean Avenue CBD and representative of the Ocean Avenue Revitalization Collaborative, said the group has established committees and met with stakeholders and asked the committee to move the item to the full board "for approval. We are ready." Dan Weaver of the Ocean Avenue Association said the new nonprofit supports approving the contract.
President Chu moved the item forward with a recommendation to the full Board; the motion was taken without objection. The committee recorded no formal amendments. The item was introduced to the committee by Supervisor John Avalos and will appear on the Board agenda for final action.
