Committee members thanked Moroff for stepping forward and emphasized priorities the Reentry Council advises on, including addiction services and employment assistance for people returning from incarceration. Supervisor Safaie said the body plays an ‘‘extremely important’’ advisory role on those issues and expressed support for Moroff’s willingness to serve.
No public comment was received on the item. A motion to recommend Moroff to seat 6 carried without objection in roll call; the committee’s recommendation moves the appointment to the full Board for confirmation, with the seat term listed as ending June 1, 2024.
