San Francisco details mass‑vaccination plan as limited supply slows rollout

Roland Pickens, director of the San Francisco Health Network, said the city had received 123,875 doses as of Jan. 19 and that “we need 400,000 doses to vaccinate the people in phase 1A and those 65 and older,” leaving the city “about 277,000 doses behind.” He described a three‑pronged rollout that includes high‑volume sites (City College, Moscone Center and a southeastern produce market), community‑based pods and mobile teams to reach neighborhoods and vulnerable populations.
