The Land Use and Transportation Committee voted unanimously March 30 to send to the full Board of Supervisors with recommendation an ordinance that makes non‑substantive and clarifying edits to the Planning Code.
Veronica Flores of the Planning Department presented the ordinance, which updates outdated cross references in the Administrative, Health and Police Codes, moves language about timing of fee payments to the start of Article 4 and cross‑references that new subsection, and adds a fee waiver for replacement of gross floor area in buildings damaged or destroyed by fire or other calamities. Flores said the Planning Commission heard the item on Dec. 12, 2019, and recommended approval with modifications; those modifications are reflected in the version before the committee.
There were no public speakers on the item. Chair Peskin moved to send the ordinance to the full Board with recommendation; on roll call Supervisors Dean Preston, Asha Safaii and Aaron Peskin voted aye and the motion passed 3-0.
The ordinance will be scheduled for consideration by the full Board in the normal course of business and will appear on Board agenda materials unless otherwise noted.
