Committee forwards Nobody Inn’s Type 42 beer-and-wine license for 620 Post Street to full Board

The Public Safety & Neighborhood Services Committee on July 9 voted to forward a resolution finding public convenience or necessity for a Type 42 (on-sale beer and wine) license for Nobody Inn LLC, which seeks to operate at 620 Post Street.
ALU officer Mackey told the committee the applicant had submitted a PCM report showing “0 letters of protest, 0 letters of support,” described the site as located in Plot 164 (a high-crime area) and Census Tract 121 (a high-saturation area), and said Central Station raised no opposition. Mackey said ALU recommended conditions including that the petitioner “actively monitor the area under their control” and that “no noise shall be audible at any nearby residents,” and noted the applicant had signed the recommended conditions as of June 30.
Applicant Nicola Occhiro described the proposed business as a “low key, unpretentious” wine-and-beer bar connected to the Fitzgerald Hotel that would focus on small-production local beer, wine and cheese. Occhiro identified the business as female-owned and said it was ready to open when City reopening rules allow.
There were no public callers on the item. Chair Rafael Mandelmann moved to forward the matter to the full Board with a positive recommendation; Vice Chair Stephanie and Supervisor Shimon Walton joined Mandelmann in voting aye. The committee’s favorable recommendation will appear on the Board of Supervisors agenda on July 21.
No formal protest letters or organized opposition were recorded in the committee record; the committee’s action was a procedural recommendation and not a license grant, which the Board of Supervisors will consider next.
