Committee advances $5.8M contract increase for city refuse collection while analysts finish review

The budget analyst said it had received late materials and requested time to complete its analysis of department vouchers and actual FY11‑12 needs. Given the timing and the operational need to keep collection services uninterrupted, the committee voted to send the item to the full Board on Tuesday without recommendation so analysts could complete figures; departments and Purchasing agreed to provide further information to the analyst before the Board meeting.
