The Government Audit and Oversight Committee voted Oct. 6 to forward to the full Board an ordinance to amend the designation of 690 Market Street under Planning Code Article 11.
Clerk Annette Launich read the ordinance title, which proposes moving the property from an 'unrated category 5' to 'significant category 2' and includes general plan and Planning Code section 101.1b environmental findings. Supervisor Aaron Peskin said the item had been continued from a previous hearing and noted the building had been recently rehabilitated. He asked for public comment and, seeing none, said he would forward the item to the full Board with recommendation.
No public speakers addressed this item during the committee hearing. The committee record indicates the matter will return to the Board for final action; staff and planning department materials and environmental findings will accompany the ordinance at the Board hearing.
