Carter introduced herself as a San Francisco native and owner of West Coast Creole Shack. She said she hopes to represent Black- and women-owned small businesses and to reduce barriers for entrepreneurs seeking to start and grow businesses in the city.
With no public callers on the item, Chair Peskin moved to forward Ms. Carter’s nomination to the full Board with a recommendation. The committee recorded unanimous support in a roll-call vote and the motion passed without objection. The nomination will now be considered by the full Board for final appointment.
