Committee approves $4 million increase to OnPoint products contract

Galen Leung of the Office of Contract Administration told the committee the products‑only contract has averaged about $775,000 in expenditures per month since January 2009 and was projected to reach nearly $27.9 million by the contract’s December end date. "This resolution is for products only contract with OnPoint," Leung said, explaining that city departments order on an as‑needed basis under the requirements contract.
The Budget Analyst reviewed expenditures and supported the requested increase as justified by actual and projected spending; he noted any expenditures would still be subject to separate appropriation approval by the Board of Supervisors. With no public comment on the item, the committee conducted a roll call and the motion passed (Mercurini Aye; Kim Aye; Weiner Aye; David Chu Aye; Carmen Chu Aye).
