Marga Antonetti, deputy director of Housing and Urban Health, said the five-year agreement pushes the contract total over $10 million, noting an overall contract total cited by the budget analyst of $19,685,009.10 and an annual budgeted amount shown of $17,500,000. The budget analyst reported the incumbent was the only respondent to the RFP and confirmed the recommended average annual amount is $3.9 million; a contingency of about $2.1 million was included but cannot be expended without a Board amendment or modification.
Anne Okubo, deputy financial officer, said contingencies are typically used to add funds when additional grant revenue arrives or when reallocations are required (for example, when one provider under-delivers and another can deliver additional units). The budget analyst recommended approval.
There was no public comment. The committee moved the item forward with a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors.
