One public caller — Matthias Mermino, policy director at Chinatown CDC — urged the committee to support Corette—s appointment, calling him a qualified candidate with deep community ties.
Chair Peskin moved to amend paperwork to remove "rejecting" language (as in a prior nomination) and then to recommend the nomination to the full board; supervisors voted aye and the item was sent as recommended.
