The Rules Committee on Jan. 25 voted to forward Angel Leung's appointment for a District 2 seat on the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Committee to the full Board of Supervisors.
Leung described long volunteer work with Friends of Lafayette Park, membership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and a focus on ensuring parks are accessible, welcoming and equitable for residents. "For me, like most San Franciscans, our parks are our backyards," she said.
No members of the public registered to speak on the item. Chair Peskin moved to send the nominee forward with the committee's recommendation; the roll call recorded aye votes from Mandelmann, Chan and Peskin and the motion passed without objection.
The nomination will proceed to the full board for final action.
