Central SoMa area-plan items set for full hearing next week after procedural continuation

The committee placed three Central South Of Market (Central SoMa) items on next Monday's agenda for a full hearing and a slate of amendments. Because the items were agendized the committee accepted short public comment but did not undertake the substantive review on July 9.
Supervisor Jane Kim and planning department staff said the committee will receive a detailed presentation and a long list of sponsor amendments at the July 16 hearing. Planning staff and sponsor offices are coordinating to prepare maps, amendments and substantive analyses.
Several members of the public were present and warned that the July 16 hearing will include extended debate and many amendments; the committee advised attendees to return next week for the full presentation and hearing.
